Snap-Together Heavy Duty Steel Pillow Block Sets for Standard Ball Bearing Units

NEW! Stainless Steel extra-wide Snap-Together pillow block sets to hold plastic, carbon, or wood bearings.   Please call us for dimensions of part numbers 40, 47, 52, and 62 PBM-SS-EW.

These units consist of a two-piece heavy gauge steel housing which allows the ball bearings initial self-alignment.   The housings listed below are standard and are dimensionally similar to those supplied by the leading ball bearing manufacturers.   These parts are plated with Zinc and dipped in clear chromate to resist corrosion.

COMPARISON OF MANITOU HOUSINGS TO STANDARD UNITS

Our 40 MPB-ST housing has a 14 gauge base and 14 gauge top strap.   Standard ball bearing units have 17 gauge for both stop and bottom straps.

Our 47 MPB-ST housing has a 14 gauge base and 14 gauge top strap.   Standard ball bearing units have 17 gauge for both stop and bottom straps.

Our 52 MPB-ST housing has a 12 gauge base and 12 gauge top strap.   Standard ball bearing units have 16 gauge for both stop and bottom straps

Our 62 MPB-ST housing has a 12 gauge base and 10 gauge top strap.   Standard ball bearing units have 14 gauge for both stop and bottom straps

Our 72 MPB-ST housing has a 12 gauge base and 10 gauge top strap.   Standard ball bearing units have 13 gauge for both stop and bottom straps

In addition to the heavier gauge steel, these units are further strengthened by the turned down edges of both top and bottom straps.   These same edges will serve to retain the rubber boot when boots are used for sound deadening.
