These units are self-aligning due to the spherical construction of the inner housing which conforms to a spherical socket formed in the outer housing. The porous bronze bearing has an oil capacity of one-third of its volume. The large oil reservoir with the close fitting wick which surrounds the bearing, provides ample lubrication at all times. The outer housing or top strap is made of a 12 gauge steel. The base is sprung slightly when the bolts are tightened which insures proper pressure between inner and outer housing so as to permit free self-alignment and yet maintain the inner housing in correct position. When the pillow block is furnished with grease fitting or Zerk, then the bronze bearing is provided with grease outlet. Zinc plating on steel parts is attractive and rust resistant 		bronze bushed bearing assemblies
     

RUBBER GROMMETS

Where the application requires a minimum of vibration and noise proof mounting, oil resisting, static-conductive, neoprene rubber grommets are available.   Two grommet sets are required for each pillow block.

Stock Shaft Sizes: ½", 5/8", ¾", 13/16" , 7/8",   15/16" , 1", and 1-1/16"

These rugged self-aligning Pillow Blocks were designed for applications where heavy loads and higher speeds are encountered.   These units are self-aligning due to the spherical construction of the inner housing which conforms to a spherical socket formed in the outer housing.   The base is sprung slightly when the bolts are tightened which insures proper pressure between inner and outer housing so as to permit free self-alignment and yet maintain the inner housing in correct position.   The outer housing or top strap is made from 10 gauge steel and the base from 12 gauge.   They can be installed either in horizontal or vertical position.   Standard units are supplied with threaded grease fittings and the units have large grease reservoirs.   Zinc plating on steel parts is attractive and rust resistant.   Special units furnished on request.
